Carrier Rep Submitting Offers
Submitting Offers
This guide covers how carrier reps submit offers in response to RFPs.
1. Complete Offer Details
Each coverage type has its own structured offer form. The form mirrors the broker's requested plan design.
Depending on coverage type, you'll enter:
- Plan details
- Benefit values
- Rates (tiered, age-banded, or volume-based)
- Commission information
Plan Responses: For coverage types where the broker has specified one or more plan designs, the offer form includes a Plan Responses section. This lists each plan the broker configured and lets you submit rates and details plan by plan — ensuring your response maps precisely to what was requested. Dental offers, for example, display each requested plan design as a separate response row.
Renewal vs. Alternative Plans: When a broker has configured a renewal plan alongside alternative options for a coverage type, each appears as a separate row in the Plan Responses section. Renewal plans are marked with a Renewal badge so you can distinguish them from alternative configurations at a glance.
2. Complete Coverage-Specific Sections
The following coverages follow similar patterns:
- Dental
- Vision
- Life & AD&D
- Disability (STD/LTD)
- Accident
- Hospital Indemnity
- Critical Illness
Each form only shows fields relevant to that coverage.
3. Upload Attachments
You may upload:
- Rate sheets
- Benefit summaries
- Supporting documentation
Attachments are shared with the broker.
4. Submit Your Offer
You may save a draft of your offer. Saving a draft does not notify the broker.
Once you are ready to submit, click Submit Offer. The offer will be immediately sent to the broker and the status will be updated to Responded. Once submitted, offers cannot be edited. Contact the broker if changes are needed.
If multiple coverages were requested:
- Submit offers independently per coverage
- Respond only to the lines you support
- Each coverage tracks its own status
Submitting Multiple Offers for the Same Coverage
You can submit more than one offer for the same RFP coverage — for example, an HMO option and a PPO option for the same Dental or Life RFP.
How to add an additional offer:
- After submitting your first offer, look for Additional Offer Options on the offer page
- Click to open a new offer form for the same coverage
- Complete and submit the additional offer independently
Each offer is tracked separately and the broker can compare all submitted offers side by side.
